Beginner money making guide

Okay this is a really easy way to make money.

Skills required: 1 Woodcutting
1 Fire Making
Items required: Bronze hatchet, and a Tinderbox

You can start chopping trees at western lumbridge.
then cut 28 logs. just normal trees.
Then light the logs and collect the ashes.
Ashes are 60~70gp each
then you will make about 28 X 65gp = 1820gp per inventory
but make sure when you sell the ashes
you must sell them at the grand exchange.

you will get woodcutting experience
as well as firemaking experience
and you will be making money at the same time.

This money making thing only works with normal trees.

Or u can just pick ashes up left over by the fire makers at ge.

Update: The ash price went up to 140 coins ea!!! = double profit!!

Ash prices are so high. Why are they high? This meathod is kind of slow in my opinion, but it good for quick cash or if you're low level

I think that members use ashes for quests or something..

Oh, that makes sense because ashes are over 200gp each, that's more than most logs

I think ashes are used for the urns so you can get prayer experience =)

well basically collecting ashes may be a good way to earn money in f2p and its easy tho
btw the ashes price is higher and more expensive than a few of others stuffs in f2p world !

The only problem about collecting ashes in f2p is that so many people are doing it that there's competition, but it's still good easy money

hmm... somehow if u do train fire makingskills ....then i'll do believe somehow u will get a lot of ashes when the fire is completely blown off and it was easier cuz u are the one only who are taking those ashes ... u might do it in a secluded area so the competition would be less frictionable than others

Yes, and you will get exp, you will still get a profit even if you buy it at g.e.
IF you only want a profit, then you might as well chop trees.(Not willow, oak, yew, or any other kind but the most common type in runescape)
because they are the most cheapest, and the prices of ash are lower than yew, and other logs so yes

No the ashes used for urns are called impious urns and come from either imps or demons. Normal ashes do not help prayer. To fill the urn get and impious urn and an iventory of these ashes, then scatter the ashes to the wind and from this the urn will fill up and give you bonus xp!

What exp does the urn give you?
Like i mean what skill?

urns/effigies can give you massive amounts for experience. Urns are used primarily for prayer xp and effigies are like magic lamps and can give you xp for any skill you choose.

his is a good guide for noobs who want to train and make money at the same time, but the thing is that i think we dont have newbs in the fc :p but besides that its a good guid.,u can also just take the ashes from other ppl their fires, but then u dont get wc and fm exp, so its a good variation on this mothod but whith exp.
i think members also use ashes for potions but im not sure about that.
