What is Merchanting as a clan?

Hi and welcome to Merchanting section! This is a pretty new idea in this clan and so let's build it up humbly.

So merchanting as a clan involves us, as one clan buying out one item just to create an artificial demand. This demand will then be reflected in a rise on the GE. Then once it reaches a certain amount, we will sell the item as a clan and we will have gained profit from the rise.

So for starters, do post your suggestion on what items you want to merchant. I will then collect the feasible items and put it out for a vote. The item will then be posted and a countdown will start. (Much like the giveaway countdown) This countdown will tell us when to sell the item.

So begin the item suggestion!

I think its a great idea. But can we influence the price so dramatically just with about 100 people

Here are some items to be on the look out for changes in the market!

Clay
Soft clay
Coal
Iron ore
Mithril ore (may be unstable)
Willows (looking for a 1 or 2 gp fall)
Rares (if you have the money)
God armours (If you have the money)

fliping is:
Iron ore
Nature runes
God armour
Rares
Fire and air runes

Yes I have always wanted to merch as a clan
and change the prices of G.e and get so much profit and etc! xD

Ugh, if the hacker didn't take them I have 52k nats on my account =] bought a while back for 10 gp each =].

I would suggest bones or big bones

Merching is like flipping. You buy something and try to sell it for more

Yew Logs
Rune Armour (Lots Of F2p buy them)
Big Bones
Clay
Wine Of Zamorak (So Much Profit it rises like 300 or 400 gp each week)

I like the Idea.

I hope we can make a lot of money from this

I believe making profit from any sort of logs or ores would be a good idea.
Seeing that most of them are decreasing in prices, and by using the ge graph on the rs main page, it seems to me they are going to rise once again, so I believe this is the time to strike.

I agree xdicesx, we will be starting to hoard iron ores very soon. like we will start officially tomorrow.

I think its better to do just one because doing 2 would cost more
and if we invest in one thing we are sure to get alot of profit out of it.

Think that for our next one we should do something like scimitars because I have seen an inceased need for them

How so? Explain your thoughts. Why rune scimitars?

Rune schmitar is not a good items to merch tho...
i've merch it last time when it is 30k++ and then the price suddenly drop to 15k when the free trade occur....
That made me lost about a few millz last time so i think it wasn't a good items to merch....
